The Dunbar Volunteer Fire Department is a non-profit organization, part of the rural fire district operating as their own separate legal entity. The Dunbar Volunteer Fire Department is not connected with the Village of Dunbar in any formal capacity, but we are all part of the same community and are here to support one another.

When a burn ban is in place No burning of any kind is allowed.

When a burn ban is in place No burning of any kind is allowed.
When open burning is allowed anything that is 3 foot by 3 foot or larger REQUIRES a permit.
Any burning that is done without a permit or during a burn ban is subject to fines.
There are 3 people in the Dunbar Fire Department who can issue permits. They are as follows;
